Powerstat Thermostats for EB to BF Falcon

Factory O.E.M. thermostats as found in Ford falcon 5.4L V8, 4.0L T and Typhoon start to open at 93deg C and do not fully open until 105deg C.

By replacing the stock thermostat with a correctly compensated thermostat, optimum peak horsepower and torque can be achieved and maintained by optimizing factory PCM spark and fuel maps before the engine is heat soaked.

Why use a B.P.T. thermostat.?

We have carefully selected the correct heat range of thermostat for use with the Ford E.F.I. system.  Using too cool a thermostat will cause the Ford PCM not to complete its emissions self check because the engine has not reached its predetermined running temperature.  This could lead to bad fuel economy and long term engine wear.

Dyno runs showed an overall gain of 3 kW's and noticeable torque at the rears.
